C’est bientôt Noël ! Un peu partout, on organise des marchés de Noël : on peut y acheter beaucoup de choses délicieuses, ainsi que des décorations pour la maison. En France, c’est dans l’est que cette tradition, qui date du 14ème siècle, est la plus vivante. En particulier à Strasbourg, en Alsace, près de la frontière avec l’Allemagne. Chaque année, les touristes viennent par millions pour y manger des gâteaux, boire du vin chaud, écouter les concerts dans les églises de la ville et admirer le sapin de plus de trente mètres de haut.

À Tokyo, un marché de Noël est organisé à Tokyo Midtown à Roppongi.

Christmas is coming! People can buy lots of delicious food as well as decorations for the house in the various Christmas markets held throughout the world. In France, it’s in the East that this tradition, dating back from the 14th century, is at its liveliest. And nowhere is it truer than in Strasbourg in  Alsace, near the German border. Every year, tourists flock by millions to eat cakes, drink warm wine, enjoy the concerts held in the churches and admire the 30-meter tall Christmas tree.
